About this Event
We are excited to invite you to our 11th Annual Course.
This course will provide an opportunity to have hands-on practice in surgical procedures for incontinence and pelvic organ prolapse.
This year's course will have two sessions:
Session 1: We will have 5 stations 30 min each. Similarly to last year we will have a cadaver station for Sacroneuromodulation where you will learn more about optimal technique for placing the leads. At another station you will discuss various XRay images with correct and incorrect placement of the leads . Third station will consist of Bulking and Botox procedures. This year we are adding a station for Boari Flap procedure using a simulation model.
Session 2 will consist of 4 cadaver stations with 45 minutes per station. 4-5 trainees will have a cadaver station ALL to themselves which means you will get to do each procedure from begging to the end. The faculty will rotate and focus on distinct procedures and tailor their teaching to your level and interest! At the end of the last session you will get to do open procedures. Station topics will include laparoscopic sacrocolpopexy, vaginal flaps, sacrospinous ligament fixation ( we also added a single incision sling). During the last open session you can practice Burch or Rectus fascia retropubic placement or do further dissection to further your understanding of pelvic anatomy.
We grateful for the dedication of the faculty from all the institutions who are helping us make this course a success.
We will have a "working lunch" where the faculty expert panel discussion various case scenarios This year we would like to focus on surgical complications or challenging cases.
The course is focused on advanced learners, we are limiting it FPMRS fellows The spots are also limited as we would like to maximize the learning experience. At this time we will have only 20 spots available total.
