Purpose: To deliver updates, explore common compliance gaps, and model a solution pathway through real-time, cross-role collaboration.
Plenary: Compliance in 2025 – What’s Changed & What Still Trips Us Up
Start the day with a high-level overview of recent changes in compliance legislation, audit findings, and council trends. We’ll explore how the same problems show up differently for IQPs, FMs, and Council staff, and introduce the 5-Step Compliance Navigator Blueprint to help untangle the chaos.
Session 1: Group Problem Solving – “Start with the Schedule”
Activity: Fix the Faulty Building
Join a mixed-role group and work through a fictional building scenario with missing links, handover gaps, and a messy compliance schedule.
Facilitators will rotate with role-based prompts as you:
- Identify what’s gone wrong
- Map who's missing what
- Explore how the CLARITY phase of the Blueprint can get things back on track
Debrief: The Real Cost of Getting it Wrong
Explore real-world case studies of where compliance failed, from fines to stand-offs to failed inspections.
This session highlights how better role clarity and cross-role collaboration could have prevented most issues.
Session 2: Step Into Clarity – Your Blueprint in Action
Format: Guided Workshop
Get hands-on with the first step of the Compliance Navigator Blueprint: CLARITY.
Through self-assessment, small-group reflection, and practical tools, you’ll uncover where your current system is falling short, and how to start fixing it.
You’ll receive:
- A CLARITY self-assessment questionnaire
- A sample Roles & Responsibilities Matrix
- A “Top 10 Common Gaps” cheat sheet
- A quick-start guide to the 5-Step Blueprint
Walk away with a clearer picture of your compliance gaps—and the confidence to tackle them.
Final Session: Your Compliance Compass – Staying Aligned Over Time
Format: Mini-Workshop
Compliance doesn’t fail because people don’t care, it fails when teams fall out of alignment.
In this closing session, you’ll reflect on how to stay connected across roles, adapt to change, and keep compliance on track.
Using a simple but powerful worksheet, you’ll map:
- What you know vs. what you’ve assumed
- Who’s responsible
- What’s changing
You’ll leave with a simple monthly or quarterly alignment ritual you can take back to your team.
