This online Conference looks back at a year of challenge and innovation as together we contribute to the future success of the railways
About this Event

West Midlands Trains invites you to tune in and 'virtually' attend the Annual Community Rail Conference which is broadcast live from Carrs Lane Conference Centre in Birmingham.

We will be looking back at a year of intense community activity and setting out our vision as customers and communities play a leading part in the recovery and renaissance of the railways.

Focussing on the role of our volunteers who enrich their own local communities whilst supporting the railways.

We will introduce the audience to enterprising people across our network who are working hard to support their neighbourhoods whilst building back their local economies.

We will be publishing a paper called 'Destination Stations' outlining a vision for railway stations to become community hubs, based on 'the power of localism' to drive both economic and social regeneration in the regions we serve and aligned to the Network Rail vision for 'Living Stations' : The railway Stations of the future as the beating heart of local business and community wellness (Network Rail/Arup 2020)

The online Audience will be made up of:

  • Businesses
  • Stakeholders
  • Communities
  • Customers
  • Collaborators
  • Social Entrepreneurs
  • Partners
