Join the Waukesha County Land Conservancy for our Annual Christmas Tree Harvest!Come visit us at the Calhoun Creek Prairie Preserve on Saturday, November 30th, from 10am to 4pm. Not only will you find the perfect tree, but you'll also be supporting our conservation and restoration efforts to return the land to its natural oak savanna and prairie ecosystems!
Get into the holiday spirit by selecting and cutting your own Christmas tree, capturing joyful moments with Santa, crafting your own wreaths, and warming up with hot cocoa, mulled wine, and specialty drinks by Gather Mobile Bar, all by a crackling bonfire.
We’ll have a photographer on site to help fundraise for our important conservation work. For just $10, you can get the perfect holiday photo of the family with Santa at our beautiful Calhoun Creek Prairie Preserve, all while supporting our efforts in conducting prescribed burns, planting natives, and removing invasive plants!
Christmas trees are $50, and DIY wreath kits are $5. We accept card, cash or check.
While we’ll have a few hand saws and twine available, we recommend bringing your own saw and tree-securing materials to make your experience even more enjoyable.
Can’t join us this time? Don't worry - we're offering another day to harvest your own tree on Saturday, December 7th! Unfortunately Santa won't make it, nor his helpful photographer and bartender elves, but it's still a great opportunity to get your tree and help us in our restoration efforts.
