Join us for a beautiful afternoon of music as the Gallery Choir of St. Patrick-St. Anthony Church, under the direction of Dr. Gabriel Löfvall, presents a seasonal concert on Sunday, December 8th at 2 p.m. at Our Lady of Calvary Retreat Center in Farmington. The program will feature selections that reflect the spirit of Thanksgiving, Advent, and Christmas, offering a journey from expressions of gratitude to the joyful anticipation of the holiday season. The concert will also showcase the stunning voice of Sister Mary Cam from Vietnam, who will be the featured soprano soloist. We look forward to celebrating this special time of year with you through music!
Sister Mary Cam, CP (Vũ Vỹ Cầm) is a Sister of the Cross and Passion from Vietnam. She studied vocal music at the Military University of Culture and Arts. Sister Mary is a member of the OLC Retreat Team and the Saints Patrick and Anthony Gallery Choir. She will begin graduate studies in music here in the United States in 2025.
The Saints Patrick and Anthony Gallery Choir is a mixed-voice ensemble. Conducted by Director of Music Gabriel Löfvall, the Gallery Choir is featured at 10 a.m. Mass on Sundays and major feasts. The members provide music leadership through the sacred choral repertoire that brings scriptural poetry to life through music. The Gallery Choir explores diverse music styles, including Medieval and Renaissance motets, beautifully crafted Baroque, Classical, and Romantic works, through dazzling twentieth-century pieces that include Gospel, world, and contemporary sounds! Their varied repertoire includes music sung in English, French, German, Latin, Russian, Spanish, Zhosa, Swahili, and Zulu.
Refreshments will be served following the concert.
