Humboldt Park Friends is doing a cattail cut on Saturday, September 21st, from 8:30a.m. to 12:30 p.m. We’ll have some tools, but volunteers are encouraged to bring their own gloves, shovels, rakes, and loppers/hedge trimmers. We’ll try to dig up and remove cattails growing along the shoreline near the three test planting plots and then cut the cattails about 2 inches below the water surface. It will be muddy…and we need as many volunteers as possible.
We plan to fill three dumpsters this year. Register at https://signup.com/client/invitation2/secure/13214306090
