Get ready for an inspiring day at the 3rd Annual Adoption Symposium, From Screen to Heart: Sound of Hope and the Future of Foster Care, on November 23, 2024, from 10 AM to 1:30 PM at World Outreach Worship Center, 1233 Shields Rd., Newport News, VA 23608!
This year’s event promises to be more impactful than ever as we highlight the life-changing impact of foster care and the critical need for permanency in the lives of youth and families. We’ll kick off the day with a special screening of Sound of Hope: The Story of Possum Trot*, an inspiring film about Donna and Reverend Martin, who led their small Texas church in an extraordinary mission—adopting 77 children from the foster system. Their incredible journey proves that with love, determination, and community, we can transform the lives of America’s most vulnerable children.
After the screening, a panel of individuals with lived experience in foster care and adoption will share their personal stories, insights, and expertise. You’ll walk away with a deeper understanding of the power of love, community, and the importance of creating permanent homes for children in need.
