Join us for a special evening as we mark the 8th anniversary of White Mahakala Buddhist Center – the place where the seeds of wisdom and compassion are continuously cultivated.
This gathering is a moment to honor the shared journey of our community – teachers , practitioners and friends – who have grown together and have made it possible to create a space where we learn to meet life with more patience, empathy and kindness. Each act of generosity, shared smile and quiet moment of meditation has helped the seeds of compassion take root in our community and beyond.
Whether or not you are familiar with Buddhist teachings, this evening offers an opportunity for everybody to discover and connect with like-minded people, to rejoice in the spirit of Dharma, and to deepen our appreciation for the refuge we have built together.
Guests are warmly invited to bring a small snack as an offering that will be shared with everyone after the celebration. There will also be an opportunity to support the Center through the purchase of community-made items such as: photos, greeting cards or statues.
What to expect:
- A short meditation to ground our motivation for the evening
- A presentation of the Center’s story
- Music, snacks and tea
- A short Buddhist teaching from our beloved Venerable Dechen
- Time to connect with the community, relax and celebrate together
