Do you know about Choux Pastry? It is a French dessert that is a dough that is cooked twice and can be made into a multitude of desserts!!
In this class we will make a "Paris- Brest" which is a choux pastry piped and baked and filled with an almond praline filling.
This dessert is named for the route of a bicycle race in Paris.
This class requires no baking skills! Everyone will be able to actively participate in the class and will make your own signature sweets from start to finish with Annie.
Pastry Chef, Ann LoParo, Aka Annie is so excited to be hosting a hands on Paris Brest masterclass in Berea at Cleveland's only baking school. These beautiful desserts look specatular and taste spectacular with a some fun and easy tips and tricks Annie will teach you.
In this class we will go over:
- how to make your dough from start to finish
- How to pipe your batter
- How to properly bake your choux pastry
- how to make a delicious filling!
- how to fill, and decorate your Paris Brest with ease and flair!
Annie is a graduate of Johnson & Wales University and has over 18 years professional baking experience as a Pastry Chef and over 6 1/2 years experience teaching students of all ages locally in Cleveland and internationally on zoom.
Annie has taught over 1000 baking classes to students as young as 3 and has had her classes featured in both Country Living Magazine and Parade Magazine.I am Ann LoParo, aka Annie and I have been a Pastry Chef for 17 years and I have been Teaching baking classes since 2018.
I will go step by step through the process of making everything from start to finish. Everyone will work individually and take home what they make. This class is limited to 6 people per class.
+++ This class is for anyone ages 10 and older. Anyone under age 18 does require a parental consent form to be filled out by a parent or legal guardian. One form is required per student under age 18 .+++
