“Annie JR.” is a junior adaptation of the beloved Tony Award-winning musical based on the popular comic strip. With a book and score by Tony Award winners Thomas Meehan, Charles Strouse, and Martin Charnin, this version of Annie brings the heartwarming tale of everyone’s favorite little redhead to the stage.
Set in 1930s New York, the story follows orphan Annie as she overcomes a difficult start, determined to find her parents who abandoned her at a cruel orphanage run by Miss Hannigan. Annie’s charm and resilience help her outsmart Miss Hannigan, leading her to a new home with billionaire Oliver Warbucks, his secretary Grace Farrell, and her dog, Sandy.
“Annie JR.” is perfect for multi-grade productions, offering a variety of roles for young performers, including orphans, servants, and tourists.
