One year after the Annie & Rod Capps Quartet debuted 10 brand new songs to a full room at North Star Lounge, they're back with even more new songs and promise to bring out a handful of neglected cuts from their previous releases. This time, with Mike Shimmin adding percussion, you can expect an even more dynamic and uplifting show! Poignant and playful, effortless and endearing, Annie & Rod Capps’ sound meets at the intersection of Americana & Folk covering a broad sonic range of genres and influences – what comes out is a rootsy vibe, touch of twang and soulful groove. The quartet features Jason Dennie, who has been contributing to their arrangements since 2006 with his wildly creative mandolin and instinctive harmony and Ozzie Andrews joyfully adding the rock solid and creative low-end. From house concerts to festival stages, the Capps have become known for their ability to create an intimate and engaging atmosphere that resonates with authenticity, earning them new fans every where they go.
