Join us for the next installment of Ann Delisi’s Essential Cooking at Oak & Reel on Wednesday, May 29 at 7 p.m. Chef and Owner Jared Gadbaw will prepare a 5-course meal with a special wine pairing for guests to enjoy. Plus, Nick Austin (Co-host of ‘The Metro,’ former host of ‘Soul Saturday’) will be spinning the tunes!Despite major challenges due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Chef Jared Gadbaw and his wife Abby opened Oak & Reel in September 2020, bringing fresh, seafood-focused Italian fare to East Grand Blvd and the Milwaukee Junction neighborhood. HOUR Detroit named it Restaurant of the Year in 2022, and on May 29, 2024, Chef Jared and team will generously open their doors to WDET listeners for a private showcase of their culinary skills and hospitality.

Oak & Reel has a designated, free parking lot on the east side of the building. There is also additional street parking on East Grand Blvd.
