Anita DeSoto returns to Stoddart Cottage Gallery to exhibit work from her 2025 residency.
The exhibition features a series of small scale portraits of colonial women in DeSoto's lush, Expressionist style, and contemplates the erasure of women's experiences, perspectives and contributions across time.
Anita DeSoto, She Does Not Fit the Frame, opens on Saturday January the 31st at 4pm. Anita will be delivering an artist floor talk on Sunday the 1st of February at 4pm.
