Phnom Penh. Nakry and Sothear meet on the Sisowath Quay for their first date. At nightfall, the romance turns into a nightmare when the young girl transforms into a strange creature…Francois Leroy and Stephanie Lansaque premiere their short animated film "Sisowath Quay" (15 min 30) - the first animated short set in contemporary Phnom Penh.
The creative couple traveled to Asia for the first time in 2002. They loved the atmosphere so much that they decided to share their time between France and Asia (mainly Vietnam). Since then, Leroy/Lansaque have released 6 short animated films (2 set in Hanoi, 2 in Ho-Chi-Minh-City and 2 in Hong Kong) which traveled around the world (more than 500 festival selections including Cannes Critics Week, 68 awards, Cesar selections…).
