This is a fun, hands-on introduction to animals and their habitats! This class will use science, geography, art and a little bit of creativity to explore what 6 crucial types of habitats that we can find here in the United States.We will cover wetlands, rainforest, ocean, in the garden, canyon and freshwater pond ecosystems. This course will cover plants and animals within each habitat and what makes each one unique! We will also spend a little time learning about how creatures have adapted to each environment.
This is a wonderful opportunity to explore a new learning opportunity and make new friends! We recommend Kate Messner's Over and Under the pond series to accompany this class.
This class will meet for 6 weeks beginning on March 18. We will take the last week of March off for Spring Break. This class meets on Tuesdays at 10am.
Pre-Requisites:
This class is intended for children 4yrs and up. No writing and reading ability is needed. We will incorporate a little bit of science into each class.
Fees:
This class will meet for six sessions. Each lesson will build upon itself. Class fees are $85 per student with a 10% sibling discount available.
The class fee is due when you sign up. It is nonrefundable but may be transferable.
We have a drop off Tuesday Enrichment block from 10am-12:30pm that you can register for at a discount.
This is a drop off class. We are a small business and we have maximized our class space which means we only have a small space for parents to wait, but you are welcome to utilize it if you prefer!
Maximum class size is 14 students.
