Learn about ongoing efforts to transfer an injured wild-caught Persian leopard from a zoo in Northern Iraq to a protected sanctuary.
During this presentation by Andy Blue, you will hear about the
challenges for people and wildlife living in a conflict zone. During his travels to Kurdistan, Andy worked alongside a veterinarian bringing much-needed supplies and support to help other animals
while educating the people on basic animal welfare.
Wildlife Jewels, a local nonprofit dedicated to wildlife conservation, will be unveiling its fine art collection created to honor Batifa’s story and raise awareness for Persian Leopard conservation.
