About this Event
Dear Parents and Teachers,
Good news!!! It’s time to sign up for November Science Saturday. This free, fun, hands-on STEM event takes place at IHMC, 15 SE Osceola Ave., on November 16. Students in grades 5, 6 and 7 who were at least 10 years old at the start of the school year are invited.
This Science Saturday will be led by Dr. Verity Mathis of the Florida Museum of Natural History. We will be doing hands-on activities that teach us about the study of mammals and what we can learn by looking at their bones. Dr. Mathis will be bringing mammal skulls from the museum's collection for this hands-on learning experience.
Please register students in grades 3 and 4 at 9 am and students in grades 5, 6, and 7 at 11 am. Both sessions will be age appropriate, so please be sure to register for the correct time.
The generosity of the season sponsors,The generosity of the season sponsors, Lockheed Martin, the Florida Blue Foundation, Cox, and Ocala Electric Utility, helps IHMC to offer Science Saturdays free of charge for all attendees.
If there are no tickets left when you register, please click on JOIN WAITLIST and follow the instructions. We will let you know no later than the Friday before if we can accommodate your child. It’s worthwhile to join the list, as we there are often cancellations during the last few days before each Science Saturday. And… if you don’t get a ticket after joining the list, you can request priority registration for the next event. If you have any questions, please call the IHMC front desk at 352-387-3050.
Science and STEM are super fun! We hope you’ll join us.
Best wishes,
