Animal Cruelty & Its Link To Human Violence
Join the Marjaree Mason Center and the SHARP Network (Safe Haven for At-Risk Pets) for an eye-opening seminar that explores the dangerous connection between animal cruelty and human violence — including domestic abuse, child and elder abuse, and even serial offenses.
Why it matters:Animal cruelty is never “just a phase.” Studies show that harming animals—especially in childhood—can be an early indicator of future violence toward people. Many serial killers began with acts of animal abuse. In homes where animals are abused, human victims often suffer in silence too.
Recognizing these red flags early can save lives — human and animal alike.
