On Friday Oct. 4 at 6 p.m. Anhelo is pleased to host an intimate six-course dinner featuring wines from Domaine Anne et Hervé Sigaut a 19th-century estate from Côte de Nuits subregion of Burgundy France.
One year ago Chef Ivan Jacobo and his team at Anhelo visited Burgundy in search of the best wines to serve at the restaurant. That’s when they discovered Domaine Anne et Hervé Sigaut a biodynamic winery whose wines are as diverse and beautiful as the climats from which they are grown. Complex fully structured and delivering incredible primary flavors the wines from Domaine Sigaut embody the magnificent terroirs of the Chambolle-Musigny and Moray-Saint-Denis appellations. Now Chef Ivan and his team finally are able to share their exceptional find with you. Even if you’re part of the “I don’t like pinot” group because you think it’s too thin boring or simply not very nuanced this dining experience will have you raising a glass to the red grapes. Included are a minimum of five wines that showcase power and finesse with notes of masculine dark fruit and spicy leathery/truffle goodness. Each is paired with mouthwatering creations from Chef Ivan.
Make it a night not to be missed with an exclusive tasting of Domaine Sigaut’s 2020 Clos de la Roche Grand Cru. For $100 add a glass of this highly coveted vintage that highlights the early development of a climat based largely on limestone underlaid with 170-million-year-old Bajocian marl.
Cost for the dinner is $265 per person. A glass of Clos de la Roche Grand Cru is $100 extra. Add a glass of Dom Perignon for an additional $75. Seating is limited and tickets can be purchased via OpenTable. For more visit anhelorestaurant.com.
