About the Author:
Angelina Mastrippolito grew up in Ingham, Far North Queensland, in a small Italian migrant community known as “Little Italy.” She became the first female actuary from Far North QLD in 1988 and held senior executive roles, including CEO and COO in superannuation funds. She is also a director of the Brave Foundation and ASEAN, promoting cross-cultural community and interfaith tolerance. Angelina now lives in Sydney’s Inner West, is the proud mother of two adult children, a ballroom dance enthusiast, and the author of Le Seconde, her debut memoir.

Le Seconde traces Angelina’s journey of identity, family history, and inherited trauma as a second-generation Italian-Australian. From WWII Italy to the cane fields of Queensland, through corporate Australia, it’s a story of resilience, self-discovery, and reconciling heritage with modern life.
