About this Event
Come spend an evening at Salle' House with songwriters Andy Zipf and Galleon Leap. This is an all ages, family friendly event. There will be light refreshments provided.
ANDY ZIPF is a singer songwriter and producer living in Greenville, SC. His grass roots network of listeners has been built upon years of touring the U.S., predominantly focused on the east coast. Zipf’s music has been featured on ABC, MTV, VHI and other TV/film outlets. He has been reviewed in PASTE, American Songwriter, The Washington Post, Popdose, Atwood Magazine, among other publications. Since 2003, Zipf has released ten albums and scored two documentaries. His most recent record, “How to Make A Paper Airplane”, was released on March 11, 2022. Produced by Matt Williams, it features Jay Bellerose (Robert Plant, Alison Krauss), Jennifer Condos (Ray LaMontagne, Joe Henry), Dennis Crouch (Emmylou Harris, John Fogerty) and Tyler Chester (Madison Cunningham, Andrew Bird). Zipf is currently working on his eleventh album, "Mystical Device".
GALLEON LEAP is the newest musical project of Calvin Armerding, a full-time mental health counselor from Travelers Rest, SC. Calvin grew up in Albuquerque, New Mexico playing classical cello, but shifted towards songwriting and multi-instrumental work while playing in Denver-based folk band “The Stormcellars.” After moving to South Carolina in 2013, his own folk band The Muchmores released two albums of his original songs. After his bandmates moved away, Calvin started Galleon Leap, opting for electric guitar over acoustic, rock sensibilities over folk, and lyrics more confrontational than mournful. He is currently recording a single that should be released in June or July, with plans to record a full album in the next year.
