•• ANDY JUHL AND THE BLUESTEM PLAYERS ••
Andy Juhl is a guitarist, singer/songwriter, and musical explorer who is always on the hunt for novel sounds to enrich his music. His passion lies in pushing the boundaries of conventional music, diving deep into the world of experimental sounds and textures. Andy's music is a fusion of heartfelt and earnest lyrics, punctuated by hummable melodies that linger in the mind long after the music fades. Yet, it's his penchant for weaving unique synthesized sounds into his arrangements that truly sets him apart.

Andy Juhl and the Bluestem Players shows are an experience. Their live shows contain a good amount of improvisation, so every show is different. This makes for an exciting experience because no one knows what's going to happen next.

If you like music that's a little different and unexpected, this is the show for you.

•• RADIO RENEGADE ••
Evander Ellsbury is no stranger to the Des Moines music scene. His psych rock band Eleven Moons gradually accumulated 11 of Ames' finest musicians, performing at 80/35, Greenbelt, and Maximum Ames Music festivals. Since moving to Des Moines, he has been creating a new live looping project. Join him for his Ames debut of Radio Renegade; where he uses guitars, old vintage radios and organic tape samples to create hauntingly beautiful sound scapes.

“ Through the static and white noise, I want to be a voice of reason. Not just with my own voice and other community voices, but with echoes of voices passed. Ones that carved a path forward for civil rights. To honor their legacy so they may live on and encourage us to be a fiery light in these dark times. To be a musical conduit for change, growth and harmony for all of humanity. A TRANSmitter for peace. A stable resonant frequency that brings us back together. For one cannot hear or reach the same frequency through two different wavelengths.”
