The Andy Quinn Memorial Fund for the Zane State Peace Officer Training Program will benefit from a music festival at The Barn on Saturday, May 17. The 6th annual “Andy Jam” will feature live music throughout the afternoon and evening, and prize drawings. Funds raised go to The Andy Quinn Memorial Fund which purchases ammunition for the cadets at Zane State’s Peace Officer Academy. The inspiration is Andy Quinn (RIP), an aspiring law officer who died of a viral infection at age 31 in 2019. Andy is son of Paul Quinn, and Cathy Sterling Nelson, both of Zanesville, and brother to Joey Quinn of Columbus.
The music lineup for the day will be announced soon.
The Andy Quinn Memorial Fund is a program of the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) Six County.
NAMI Six County serves Muskingum and surrounding counties and is the fiscal agent for the memorial fund. NAMI Six County is a 501c3 charitable organization that advocates for the mentally ill and drug-addicted (https://www.facebook.com/nami6county/?mibextid=LQQJ4d).
The Barn is Zanesville's premier gathering place. The Barn partners with many charitable groups and purposes throughout the year, and is a longtime friend of NAMI (https://www.thebarnzanesville.com/).
