Andria Martin has played in the Eugene area for decades. She most often performs with the Gerry Rempel Trio and Slightly Retro Jazz and often is called to play with many area musicians. She performed with the Swing Shift Big Band for ten years and studied with Carl Woideck, Bill Sabol, Barney McClure, Vicky Brabham, and John Workman. Most notable performances were with Hubert Laws, Bobby Shew, Dick Oatts, Greta Matassa, Gary Hobbs, and a private lesson with Ellis Marsalis. Andria began working on this ¾ gig “passion project” during the Covid lockdown and is thrilled to see it come to fruition in her first headlining performance. Andria teaches elementary music in Springfield, loves to travel, and is also a volunteer at the Jazz Station.
Gerry Rempel has performed with and served as a recording session musician with numerous fusion, soul/funk, jazz, and R&B ensembles throughout the Pacific Northwest, also including work in Los Angeles and Las Vegas. Gerry frequently performs locally with the groups The Gerry Rempel Jazz Syndicate, Soulstruck, The Gerry Rempel Trio, KMR, Anya Lecuyer, OFAM Shedd productions and more. Gerry also had the privilege of performing at musical academies and universities in Beijing and Qingdao China with the University of Oregon Gospel Choir in 2013.
He has also been serving as resident composer and music director for Hult Center (resident company) Ballet Fantastique concert productions including String Theory, Pride and Prejudice, the Legend of Sleepy Hollow, the Book of Esther, and Dragon and the Night Queen.
Gerry has a busy teaching schedule at Bushnell University, Guitar Center and his own teaching studio. Gerry has a Masters in Jazz Studies degree from University of Oregon and a degree from the Guitar Institute of Technology in Los Angeles.

As the son of a music professor, drummer/percussionist Don Elkington learned early how to bring more to music than just a beat. His musicianship and versatility make him one of the busiest musicians in the area. He’s called upon to play in a wide variety of styles; from jazz and classical ensembles to folk, rock, funk, tango, world, pop and R&B. Whether he's playing Ellington, Bacharach, Earth Wind Fire, Tool, Mingus, Jobim, Miles, Steely Dan, Tower Of Power, ZZ Top, Gershwin... you always know his style, feel, and groove.
Music paid for Don’s schooling at Brigham Young University. Now living in Springfield, Oregon he normally averages between 50 and 75 live performances and recording sessions a year. You may have seen him play at The Shedd, The Hult Center, Cuthbert Theater, McDonald Theater, Mathew Knight Arena, wineries, festivals, or many other venues.
Bob Ragan started playing in big bands at the age of 15 and became a member of the Air Force Band of the West. He was a featured soloist in college in both classical and jazz organizations and became an award-winning band director in Texas and Arkansas. After retiring and moving to Eugene, Bob finally had time to devote to improvisation. He became a long-time member of Swing Shift and was a featured soloist. Bob leads the small group, Slightly Retro Jazz which performs at venues all over town. He has also performed with a number of local large and small jazz ensembles locally including performances at the Shedd, the Hult Center, the Jazz Station and the Newport Jazz Festival.
Anya Martin graduated from South Eugene HS in 2023 where she performed in The Dorians Jazz Choir. She also sang in the Synergy Acapella choir for four years. She currently attends college in Prague, Czechia where she sings with Voices of Prague, an international choir that performs at events all over the city. Anya sang with Slightly Retro Jazz at the Jazz Station and was a featured soloist at the Hult Center for two graduation ceremonies. She has sung the National Anthem at numerous UO sporting events beginning at age 14. Anya also participated in many musicals and worked as an intern for Rose Children’s Theater.
