This evening was originally scheduled as a performance by the California Blue Runners, led by longtime Ashkenaz community member and musician Andrew Carriere. In the wake of Andrew’s passing, the night will now become a celebration of his life, his music, and the extraordinary community he helped build.
With support from many of Andrew’s close collaborators, several bandleaders and musicians will come together to share the set, perform his music, and honor the spirit he brought to every stage and session - generous, joyful, and fun!
Andrew was a beloved presence at Ashkenaz for many years: a bandleader, a collaborator, a mentor, and a friend to countless musicians and dancers. This gathering is an opportunity to celebrate his legacy the way he lived it through great music and community.

Student: $15, with valid student ID at the door only
Ashkenaz is all ages, all the time. Kids and minors are always welcome. Those 12 or under are admitted FREE (unless otherwise noted).
