On February 13 at 14.00, Andres Käosaar will give a talk at the Tartu Observatory, followed by a discussion with Mihkel Pajusalu, Associate Professor of Space Technology at the University of Tartu Observatory.Andres Käosaar is a space psychologist and ocean rower who is finishing his PhD this year in Florida, USA. Andres will talk about his experiences conducting research in various space analog environments, such as specialized analog stations (the Mars Desert Research Station and LunAres) and Antarctica (King George Island). He will also share lessons relevant to space travel from his recently completed Atlantic Ocean rowing race.
The talk will cover both the complexities of studying teamwork in space crews and personal lessons learned while pursuing and fulfilling his dreams.
The talk will take place in the main hall of Tartu Observatory (Observatooriumi 1, Tõravere) and will be held in English.
