🏔️ Join us for a free community screening of the award-winning documentary YINTAH!

Spanning more than a decade, YINTAH follows Howilhkat Freda Huson and Sleydo’ Molly Wickham as they lead their nation in reoccupying and protecting their ancestral Wet’suwet’en lands from the Canadian government and some of the world’s largest fossil fuel companies. This powerful film explores Indigenous sovereignty, environmental justice, and resistance on the frontlines.

The Arctic and Northern Studies Program at UAF offers interdisciplinary perspectives on the peoples, lands, and issues of the circumpolar North. Students and faculty work together to understand the North through history, policy, culture, and environment, preparing graduates to lead in northern and Arctic contexts.
