About Anna Wolf:
London-based Anna Wolf is a force in the music scene, leaving an indelible mark with her alternative soundscapes that resonate long after the last note fades.
With a hauntingly beautiful sound that blends romance and darkness, she captivates audiences and critics alike, once described as the love child of Kate Bush and Johnny Cash.
Born and raised in Pretoria, South Africa, Anna is a self-taught musician who began writing songs at just five years old and signed her first record deal at the age of 14.
Growing up in a tumultuous household, she used songwriting as an emotional outlet, seeking answers and meaning amidst the
daily domestic abuse she both experienced and witnessed. Thus, her extraordinary journey began.
In 2019, Anna Wolf made history as the first South African artist to win the Grand Prize at the Global Unsigned Only Competition for emerging talent in Nashville. Esteemed judges included Robert Smith (The Cure).
Anna added author to her résumé with the self-published poetry book Medicine. At the book launch, she hosted a sold-out event in a cinema in the heart of London’s Soho. The immersive event
featured a short film directed by Anna and a pop-up shop designed to immerse the audience in forest inside the venue.
Anna has collaborated with an impressive roster of music legends, including Sir Johnny Clegg, Trey Call (Johnny Cash’s Cash Cabin Studios), Jamie Morrison (Stereophonics), Pete “Boxta” Martin
(Melanie C, Missy Elliott), Alex Thomas (Air, Anna Calvi), Zak Loy (Live), Rex Roulette (Eagles of Death Metal), and Joseph Cash.
In 2023, Anna expanded her creative repertoire further by starring alongside BAFTA nominee Diane Quick and Screen Actors Guild Award winner Bernard Hill in the film Forever Young, which
features her music throughout.
Nominated for numerous accolades, Anna has been recognized in categories such as Best Newcomer, Best Alternative Album, Best Pop Album, Most Innovative Artist, and more recently at
the prestigious Muso Awards hosted by the UK’s legendary Soccer Six platform for Best Breakthrough Artist of 2025.
Currently, Anna is working in Hendersonville, Nashville, at Cash Cabin Studios (Johnny Cash's studio) with producer Trey Call on a new body of work. One of these songs, Dear Daddy, was co-
written with South African award-winning writer Hunter Kennedy (Fokofpolisiekar). This song forms part of her upcoming South African tour taking place in April 2025, which promises to be an
immersive and visceral experience.
