Understanding ADHD & the Nervous System: A Hands-On, Holistic WorkshopWhether you have ADHD yourself or love someone who does...this workshop is for you.
If you’ve recently been diagnosed and feel like your doctor, psychiatrist, or therapist hasn’t given you the full picture… or if someone in your life has ADHD and you want to truly understand how their brain and body work...this may be the missing piece of the puzzle.
We’ll take you beyond medication, beyond talk therapy, and into a fresh, practical, and body-based approach. You’ll leave with tools that can change the way you relate to yourself and others, reduce overwhelm, and bring more calm, clarity, and connection into your life.
What You’ll Learn
• How ADHD shows up in the brain and nervous system—for both adults and children
• Why people with ADHD think, feel, and behave the way they do
• Tools to regulate your own nervous system if you have ADHD
• How to resource yourself when supporting a partner, friend, or family member with ADHD
• Hands-on strategies to help you respond to stress, emotional intensity, and sensory needs, whether they’re yours or someone else’s.
This is not just for parents. It’s for adults with ADHD, couples, families, teachers, carers, anyone who wants to build understanding and practical skills for living with ADHD in everyday life.
Special Offer: Bring Someone You Care About for Free
Because ADHD affects everyone it touches, we want you to learn together.
• Your $50 ticket covers TWO spaces.
• Bring your partner, spouse, family member, or friend for free.
• Example: Married couple with a child who has ADHD? Pay for one ticket—both of you come.
• Partner just been diagnosed? Come together to understand what it all means.
Why This Workshop is Different
This is one of the few workshops in New Zealand offering ADHD education through a holistic, nervous-system-first lens. Most ADHD support focuses on medication, therapy, or behavioural management—we add the crucial layer of understanding how your body and brain interact, and how to work with them rather than against them.
You’ll get:
• Neuroscience explained simply, no jargon
• Somatic tools – nervous system regulation for both ADHDers and their supporters
• Lived experience + professional expertise, from two facilitators who understand ADHD inside and out
You’ll leave with knowledge and practical skills you can start using immediately...whether for yourself or for someone you love.
What’s Included
• Fresh food & drinks
• Workbook to take home
• Engaging presentations + interactive activities
• Relaxing, welcoming atmosphere at Be Different Studio
