Join the University of Michigan School for Environment and Sustainability (SEAS) Detroit Sustainability Clinic's Urban Sustainability & Justice Faculty Fellow, Dr. Alesia Montgomery of the UCLA's Insitute of the Environment and Sustainability for her talk,"Waging Love" for the Earth in a Fascist Climate: Placekeeping in Detroit, Oakland, and Los Angeles. Dr. Montgomery's lecture will address the challenges of environmental justice work and climate activism at this political moment, framing it within a history of placekeeping by Black, Indigenous, and People of Color.
Snacks and networking will take place from 5:30–6:00 PM, followed by the lecture and Q&A from 6:00–7:00 PM.

🚗 Parking: Metered street parking available nearby. The Maynard Parking Structure costs $1.65/hour. Limited free parking is available after 5 PM at the Hill Street Parking Structure.
