About the Event

Join us for an empowering afternoon hosted by The Exchange, as we bring together community leaders, professionals, and veterans for a special Remembrance and Movember-themed event: “Values That Lead.”

Held in honour of Remembrance Day and Movember — Men’s Mental Health Month, this gathering unites multiple generations to explore the principles that build strong men, strong families, and strong communities.

At a time when traditional values, leadership, and even life itself are often undervalued, The Exchange seeks to restore meaningful dialogue and reaffirm the importance of courage, service, and purpose in shaping a better Canada.

Featuring Guest Speaker: Andrew Lawton, MP

We are honoured to welcome Andrew Lawton, Member of Parliament for Elgin—St. Thomas—London South and a respected voice in Canadian politics, journalism, and cultural commentary.

Andrew Lawton is a Canadian politician, author, and journalist with the Conservative Party of Canada. Before entering Parliament in the 2025 federal election, he built a prominent career as a broadcaster with True North and Rebel Media, a radio host on CFPL (AM) in London, and the author of two acclaimed books — one documenting the Freedom Convoy protest, and another profiling Conservative leader Pierre Poilievre.

In this talk, Andrew will share his personal journey through mental health challenges, how he found the strength to overcome them, and his reflections on the ethical and societal implications of Canada’s MAID (Medical Assistance in Dying) program, which now offers assisted death as an option for those struggling with mental illness.

His message is one of hope, faith, and responsibility — a call to reclaim the values that help men find purpose and lead with courage.

Featuring Guest Speaker: Cindy Weir, CAF Veteran

We are honoured to welcome Cindy Weir, a decorated Veteran of the Canadian Armed Forces, whose service includes deployments with the United Nations Disengagement Observation Force (UNDOF) in the Golan Heights, operations with the Coalition Forces during the Gulf War, and multiple domestic missions across Canada.

Cindy’s exemplary career has earned her numerous military honours, including the Gulf and Kuwait Medal, the Canadian Peacekeeping Service Medal, and King Charles III’s Coronation Medal.

Today, Cindy speaks courageously about her own struggle with PTSD, the realities of post-service life, and the vital importance of healing, honour, and resilience. Her words remind us that the battle doesn’t always end when the uniform comes off — and that true leadership is forged through service and sacrifice.
