Celebrate the release of flutist Lindsey Goodman's fifth solo album, "transporting bright", from PARMA Recordings with a free, public concert on Sunday, November 9 at 2:00 PM in Otterbein University's Riley Auditorium in Westerville, Ohio!The program features THREE world premieres:
A quintet for four flutes and piano by Robert Frankenberry
The film of Robert McClure's "prowl" by Four/Ten Media
"Gorffennaf" for solo flute by Lowri Mair Jones, commissioned by Kim Falk as part of the Welsh Music Project
For the first time in concert, flute quartet PANdemonium4 and Chrysalis Duo, a singing flute and singing piano duo, will be united, sharing commissioned works from the album for quartet by Tony Zilincik and Linda Kernohan along with music by Nancy Galbraith ("Blue Capriccio") and commissioned works from the album for duo by Robert Frankenberry and Nancy Galbraith along with music by Gilda Lyons ("Chrysalis").
"transporting bright" in concert is generously supported by the Johnstone Fund for New Music and the Greater Columbus Arts Council's Artist Projects and Fund for Artists.
