The FOX & BEGGAR THEATER presents its eighth feature-length production, "TIGRE! TIGRE!", a new show about humankind's absurd relationship to technological progress. Our story begins at the dawn of the Scientific Revolution, where a pair of Medieval two-dimensional paper dolls are building the first thing to exist in the next dimension-- a human.
Combining puppetry, traditional clown theater, and a live score influenced by everything from Medieval court music to Gilbert & Sullivan, "TIGRE! TIGRE!" explores humanity's relationship to technology while asking the fundamental question: what drives us to perpetually open new doors that we know we won't be able to close?
We are excited to visit Hayward for our first ever Fox & Beggar performance at the Hayward Public Library! Come catch an unticketed performance atop our spectacular mobile theater in their backyard.
Bring friends and a lawn chair or picnic blanket, and make sure to dress for the weather in case we get an unexpectedly chilly night.
