"There's That Sun Again," A Workshop for Kids with Mk Smith Despres

Join the Tang and the Saratoga Book Festival on Sunday, October 5, at 11 am, for a reading and art-making workshop led by picture-book author and educator Mk Smith Despres. Despres will read from their recent book There’s That Sun Again, which focuses on the duality, wonder, and rhythm of the everyday, in the exhibition All These Growing Things. They will then lead kids through a collage workshop inspired by the book.
Books will be available for purchase at the event, and Despres will sign books following the workshop.
This workshop is designed by Despres, the Tang Education Department, and the Saratoga Book Festival.

About the Artist
Mk Smith Despres writes, teaches, and makes art in western Massachusetts. They are the author of the First Friends board book series and the picture books There’s That Sun Again and Night Song, one of Bank Street’s Best Children’s Books of the Year.
