About this Event
The Museum of The National Center of Afro-American Artists invites you to a public conversation atThe Value of a Life by Fern Cunningham in Roxbury’s Clarence “Jeep Jones” Park near John Eliot Square (221 Roxbury Street) at 1pm on Saturday, November 9th.
Questions and thoughts to ponder would be, “Have you lost someone to street violence? Does violence seem to lurch everywhere? How can we do to restore communal wholeness? Some would answer “practice loving ourselves.” An artist and a social activist will lead a conversation probing these questions. Contribute your thoughts on why Black lives matter at the reception which follows.
All are welcome to this free and public event!
*This project and exhibition are funded by The Mayor's Office of Arts & Culture's UnMonument Initiative, supported by a grant from The Mellon Foundation.
