“The Ritual” - Into Hawaiian wisdomHealing through conscious movement, breath & community connection
The 4 hours of workhops 24.11 from 11.30 am - 3.30 pm, Leeds
Uncover the source of your inner power through Mana, and natural rhythm of your body, your breath, your heart, elements of nature, and the harmony of universal, cosmic energy
The ritual is a source of valuable inspiration rooted in the indigenous tradition and nature elements, a healing ceremony that involves coming back from being isolated and relieving stress caused by excess hyperactivity due to a lack of community.
We aim to help you reconnect with your inner power during the ritual, allowing us to honour both our ancestors' and our own experiences, unrestricted by any limitations.
The ceremony involves a pattern of repetition and cyclicality found in both life and nature. Repeating things helps us learn to remain patient, gives us strength, and uplifts us. Our cyclical gatherings aim to inspire you to incorporate rhythm into your life, utilise ritual for healing, and embrace the beauty and darkness in life by tapping into your inner divine energy.
The ritual involves collaborating, performing uniquely designed breathing, and movement exercises, expressing ourselves and communicating through dance, while connecting with the spirits of nature and building a powerful bond with our inner life force - Our Mana.
It is based on values of presence, unconditional love, respect, compassion and gratitude for everything around us, and can be our constant reminder about celebration of life in love, happiness, and navigation safely and attentively through life.
We are all connected so let’s:
- create Halau, safe space for expressing ourselves
- establish a sacred space (altar ) to welcome the presence of nature elements
- spread our wings by performing transformative Flying (Ka’alele’au)
- express and communicate through movement exercises: contact improvisation, radical acceptance, gravity exercises, intuitive dance
- empower through Hula dance
- discuss the principles of Hawaiian wisdom (Huna)
- incorporate breathing within “Ha” (holotropic breathwork)
- invite forgiveness practice - Ho’oponopono
The advantages of being together:
- reconnecting to your inner power
- balancing and harmonising through the integration of body, mind, emotions and spirit
- discovering and developing body awareness
- releasing stress and tension and restoring inner peace
- returning to the present moment, with awareness and attentiveness
- regaining a sense of agency
- restoring lightness, spontaneity, brings support for vitality
- opening the heart space, activates the energy flow, empowers
- healing from isolation
- bringing peace, joy and happiness
