Reader bios
Kate Meadows is a writer from North Carolina living in Brooklyn, New York. Her poems and essays have recently appeared in Small Orange, Annulet Poetics, and Little Mirror. She is an MFA candidate in poetry at Hunter College and a graduate of the 2024 Brooklyn Poets mentorship program.
Sara Blazevic is a writer and labor organizer with roots in New York and Croatia. Her work has been published in Thrush, APIARY, the Newport Review, Northern Colorado Writers, and Pacifica Review. She graduated in 2024 from the Brooklyn Poets mentorship program.
Hajri Aga is a poet based in New Jersey. A recent graduate of the 2024 Brooklyn Poets Mentorship Program, she found her voice in surrealist poetry—verse that emerges from the deepest silences and the dreams they carry. While her work has yet to be published in a journal, her poem the chair was nominated for a Pushcart Prize by Brooklyn Poets, who also featured her in an interview for their Poet of the Week spotlight.
Miriam Milena is a current MFA student in Creative Writing at Western Washington University. Her work has appeared in the Bellingham Review and Cola Literary Review. She has received fellowships and support from Brooklyn Poets and the Mineral School. Besides teaching writing at WWU, Miriam also works for Asterism Books.
