A one day event supporting our local "Hearts United For Animals" Shelter. HUA, located in the beautiful rolling hills of Auburn, Nebraska, is a no-K*ll organization dedicated to relieving the suffering of domestic animals by providing quality shelter, sanctuary, and adoptions, and by promoting animal welfare issues. Their efforts have resulted in thousands of dog and cat adoptions since the year 1989. This derby is a "Paddle Only" event. This also includes "No Sonar" on the kayak. We hope you will come on out and join us in this effort to promote the efforts of this great organization.
Entry Fee: One small bag of either dog or cat food. (Larger bags will be accepted!) Even a bag of treats is okay!
If you need a kayak we will have a limited number available for use. Five fish limit with the total inches being counted for placing. A Ketch board or Yakattack board are acceptable. We have extra Ketch boards available for use. This is a "Catch, Photo, and Release" style derby.
There will be prizes awarded in a drawing. Every angler's name will also be placed in a drawing at the conclusion of all our events this next year for a free entry to the Eco-Fishing 250. ($250 value) There will also be a drawing for a Little Miami Outfitters Fishing rod at the end of the season as well.
