Tottering Biped Theatre will present “The Complete Works of William Shakespeare (Abridged)” at Dundurn Castle Park, 610 York Boulevard, on Tuesday - Saturdays, from August 12th - 30th at 7:00 PM weather permitting.
In addition, Tottering Biped Theatre will also present “The Carnival of Animals” at Dundurn Castle Park, 610 York Boulevard, on Sunday, August 17th, 24th, and 31st at 7:00 PM weather permitting.
Both events are Pay-What-You-Can with a $20 recommended contribution.
The second longest-running West End comedy in history with translations into over thirty languages, “The Complete Works of William Shakespeare (abridged)” sees three charismatic, widely ambitious actors attempt to present all thirty-seven of Shakespeare’s plays in a single performance. They have a rudimentary concept of the stories, a smattering of famous lines, and a meagre assortment of costumes and props. Thus armed, the three brazenly launch into their task with an earnest focus and breakneck enthusiasm.
“The Carnival of Animals” is a classical music composition by Camille Saint-Saëns, often used to introduce children to the world of classical Western music with movements devoted to elephants, chickens, and turtles. Our production features Mime artist Trevor Copp’s interpretation of these animals - watch him become a clucking, growling, and flapping parade of animals who bridge this wonderful music to the hearts of children and adults alike. Featuring pianists Renée Huynh and Amelia Yates.

Also available: our spectacular picnics! $40 buys you a picnic and includes your contribution to the show. Email [email protected] at least 48 hours before the performance for details.
