Hailed as one of the finest vocalists of her generation, a Grand Ole Opry member Barnett brings Cline’s legendary hits like “Crazy,” “I Fall to Pieces,” and, of course, “Sweet Dreams” to life with authenticity and heart. With lush arrangements and a classic country sound, the concert delivers a nostalgic and moving journey through the golden era of country music. This unforgettable performance honors Patsy Cline’s enduring legacy while celebrating Mandy Barnett’s extraordinary talent and connection to the music.
Barnett first gained national prominence as the original star of one of the first jukebox musicals, “Always...Patsy Cline” at Nashville's famed Ryman Auditorium. Barnett, as Cline, performs on the original cast soundtrack album and is the only actress to have played the role on the historic Ryman stage where Cline’s legend began. The Ryman shows sold out nightly and received rave reviews, and Barnett has wowed critics and audiences ever since with her concerts and recordings.
Barnett has released a variety of acclaimed albums, including I’ve Got a Right to Cry, named “Top Country Album” by Rolling Stone in its year of release, produced by Nashville Sound pioneer Owen Bradley (who also produced Patsy Cline, Loretta Lynn, Brenda Lee, and K.D lang). Other critically lauded Barnett albums are: her self-titled Warner Bros. debut; her Christmas celebration Winter Wonderland; the Cline-inspired Sweet Dreams; I Can’t Stop Loving You: The Songs of Don Gibson, a tribute to her friend and Country Music Hall of Fame member Gibson; Strange Conversation, an Americana blend of roots, pop, and R&B tunes, which AllMusic hailed as the “richest record of her career: surprising, lively, and deeply felt”; A Nashville Songbook featuring reimagined, multi-generational pop and country songs that made Nashville famous; and Every Star Above, a Great American Songbook tour de force with orchestral arrangements by the late maestro Sammy Nestico, which Variety named one of the best albums of 2021.
