The Spring migration is right around the corner! Now is the time to practice learning about the avian jewels that will be pouring through our area starting in April. This presentation will explore the colorful songbirds that either breed here or pass through on their journey North. Thrushes, Vireos, Orioles, Flycatchers, and more than 20 species of Warblers can be seen on the Refuge during this special time of year! Strategies on how to find and identify these beautiful birds will be covered. Many of these avian gems are only here for less than a month, so you don't want to miss this presentation!
Dave Williams, former teacher and long time member of Friends, and well known birding expert often leads tours on the Refuge.
His lecture will also be broadcast via Zoom as well as in person at the Visitor Center Auditorium. Although registration is not required, please email [email protected] for Zoom attendance. Zoom details will be emailed prior to the event.
