Inspired by an exhibition from the National Museum of American History, “Spark!” shares stories gathered from small towns across the country — communities where creativity meets courage to create lasting change.
Visitors will experience photographs, objects, videos, engaging interactives, and even augmented reality displays that reveal how rural innovators have shaped the past, are driving the present, and will continue to influence the future. The exhibition asks big questions: What encourages risk-taking? How do diverse perspectives shape innovation? What role does openness to change play in a community’s growth?
More than just a display, “Spark!” is a springboard for local programming in the humanities, sciences, and arts. It invites community members to come together, reflect on their history, and imagine the possibilities of their future.
