Two pillars of New York dance culture unite for a night dedicated to the art of listening, the joy of dancing, and the emotional power of music.
Joey Llanos — legendary Paradise Garage torchbearer and resident of 7th Heaven at Good Room — joins forces with Craig “Shorty” Bernabeu, founder of SBS Slammer Sound and Analog BKNY, and co-founder of REFUGE — Williamsburg’s newest club featuring Shorty’s latest custom state-of-the-art sound system, “REX.”
The room is fully acoustically tuned by Alan Fierstein — trusted acoustical consultant for The Paradise Garage, former owner of Sorcerer Sound recording studio, and current president of Acoustilog Inc.The space also features a state-of-the-art floating wood dance floor, designed for warmth, movement, and pure body-to-bass connection.
Together, Joey and Shorty host the night — selecting music for both listening and dancing pleasure, guiding the room through:
* Garage & Disco Classics
* Deep & Soulful House
* Today’s Underground & Future Sound
This is real dancefloor culture:Warmth. Unity. Groove. Soul.No ego. No hype. Just music, people, and the room as the instrument.
Come listen.Come dance.Come home.
