“Salute to Veterans” Concert
Bristol Brass and Wind Ensemble, under the direction of Kyle Camerato, in cooperation with the Bristol Veterans Council, are proud to honor our veterans with a Veterans Day concert, Sunday, November 10, 2024 at 3 pm, at Rockwell Theater at BAIMS (Bristol Arts and Innovation Magnet School), 70 Memorial Blvd., Bristol Connecticut. This venue is an easy walk to the monuments on Memorial Boulevard. This concert is free and open to the public.
We invite everyone to join us to honor our military veterans – past and present on Sunday afternoon November 10. Bristol Brass and Wind Ensemble will perform a varied selection of uplifting and dramatic musical pieces including “Armed Forces - The Pride of America!”; “Let Freedom Ring” composed by Ryan Nowlin; “The Homefront: Musical Memories from World War II”; “Liberty, American Salute” by Morton Gould; as well as a John Philip Sousa march or two. There will be a very special presentation of “Lincoln Portrait” by Aaron Copland. This will be narrated by Richard M. Carello, 1SG (retired), chairman of the Bristol Veterans Council.
The salute to our veterans continues on Monday, 11/11 at 11 am when the Bristol Veterans Council holds their annual ceremony at the Rockwell Theater at BAIMS.
Admission to the concert is free; however monetary donations are always greatly appreciated and accepted. A portion of all donations received will go to the Bristol Veterans Council. Visit our website at www.bbandwe.org.
