Get ready for the featuring "!" Join us this year on July 4th at, located at 154 North Hamilton Road, Gahanna, OH 43230 for an unforgettable in-person event. RWBlues is all about celebrating American style Independence Day with colors and sounds with live music, delicious food, and fun activities for all ages.
But that's not all! The Democracy Challenge 2023 will be a highlight of the festival, where you can learn about the importance of voting and how you can make a difference in your community. This interactive experience will engage you in a fun and educational way, giving you the tools you need to become an active citizen and exercise your right to vote.
Doors open for ticket holders at 11am, when food, drinks and a great lineup of "open mic" performers, including local talent from "" and other musicians take the stage.
The first half band at RWBlues is an R&B/Top 40 band that is high energy and crowd engaging with dynamic vocalists and accomplished musicians that wow crowds. In 2022 CYNTsation along with others opened up for National Recording Jazz Saxophonist Paul Taylor and later that year also opened up for National Recording Artist Morris Day. So now get ready for the CYNTsation Sensation!
Half-time at RWBlues will feature work done by local high school students who are gearing up to vote when they turn 18, including their ground-breaking work to contact their peers and their friends and family called "TikTok the Vote." Come see and hear them show that civics is more than a class, it's an exercise in the basics of American-style democracy.
The second half band is who are celebrating 60 years of delivering the goods from songs that never die.
From beginning to end, until supplies run out, $5 buys a July 4th Picnic Plate of hot dogs, potato salad and a slice of mom's apple pie. Drinks of all kinds are available for purchase at La Navona's bar.
In addition to the DC23 halftime show, you'll be able to register to vote or update your current voter information in the "Democracy Classroom and Fair," which again this year hopes to feature representatives from The Ohio Secretary of State, The Franklin County Board of Elections, The Gahanna Public Library, The League of Women Voters of Metropolitan Columbus, and CRIS (Community Refugee and Immigration Service). Educational videos produced by from The Center for Civic Education------will run throughout the event.
