We are excited to announce our upcoming solo exhibition featuring Slaven Lunar Kosanovic LUNAR is a Zagreb-
based artist widely recognised as one of the founding members of Croatia’s graffiti scene.
He has painted and exhibited across six continents, leaving his mark in numerous cities across the globe including Amsterdam, Athens, Auckland, Berlin, Bogota, Hanoi, Havana, Kigali, Lisbon, London, Melbourne, New York, Oslo, Paris, Saigon and Tokyo.
"He creates this by drawing and painting on used discarded objects, food packaging, fabrics, spray cans, cardboard plates, boxes, wrappers, and other scraps. On these ephemeral and modest objects, he continues his creative process that began, for example, on the wall that he painted with other artists. In drips or smears of paint on the cardboard, Lunar discovers interesting shapes that he continues to embellish into strange compositions, so that the discarded scraps become an autonomous work of art. The author does not create a distinctive hierarchy in relation to conventionally designed works, murals and paintings. Rather, he takes on a distinct shade from them, a typical feline bestiary and other features that define his works so far." -Barbara Vujanović
