About this Event
This workshop invites participants to explore the art of minimalist collage, starting from a blank page as a space of possibility. Emphasizing “less is more,” the approach encourages choosing only a few elements, allowing the white space to breathe and guide the composition. Participants will focus on balance, simplicity, and the careful placement of each component so that every piece becomes essential to the overall work.
Through practical exercises, participants will learn how to work with minimal elements while maintaining visual interest. The workshop emphasizes the importance of spacing, alignment, and thoughtful selection, helping students understand how each piece contributes to the composition.
By the end of the workshop, participants will have created a collage where every element serves a purpose and the overall design is clear and harmonious.

Collage Working Club (CWC) is a weekly open workspace for artists working in the medium of paper. Organised in the format of alternate ‘drop in’ sessions and workshops masterclasses, it has both a regular facilitator, whilst also involving the artist community in the sharing of knowledge and skills. Providing materials, education and connections is the primary aim of CWC, and it will do this through the interdisciplinary art of collage as both an art form and a tool for personal growth.
