I will perform a recital of solo and chamber music with oud (Turkish lute) featuring new compositions of mine, Turkish composer Yurdal Tokcan, and pieces from the classical Ottoman, Egyptian, and Azeri repertoire. I will be joined by several UTSA School of Music faculty colleagues (Dr. Nicole Cherry, violin, Dr. Rami-El Farrah, soprano saxophone, and Professor Linda Jenkins, flute) and musicians from the San Antonio community (Matthew Adams, percussion, Berk Agar, guitar, Dr. Andrew Bergmann, bass, and Sermed Mahmud, voice).
