About this Event
POONV is the fifth independent video installment from a selection of skateboarders originally local to the Lehigh Valley/Philadelphia area who have dispersed to various corners of the country. This extremely amateur production intends to encapsulate the existing abilities of skaters in their mid-30s in a low definition and minimalistic format. It is wished to be enjoyed as a visual collage, mixtape, and homage to an artform that demands youthful upkeep.
Featuring live music by: The Hodick Cut: Originally from the Lehigh Valley, The Hodick Cut is an ensemble composed of 2 cousins (and possibly a guest) playing jammy and psych-rock inspired tunes technical enough to make your local sickhead whisper "hell yea.".
Tall Tease: Melodic garage rock elite, Tall Tease is a 3 piece band that hits on the cylinders of power pop and rock n roll. Both aesthetically and sonically pleasing, Tall Tease is the perfect date night for those lonesome doves.
Earnest Knuckle: The illusive Earnest Knuckle breaks the conventional practices of the standard banjo plucker through accessorizing sound samples over a tinny resonance that sends the crowd into a blissful stupor.
Herald is a one-man alt pop powerhouse whose singing and multi-layered synth compositions demand the crowd to embrace the nuance of the human experience in the most transcendental fashion.
