The Elk Creek Township Historical Society with Sponsorship from LCBA Branch 2022 is hosting our Fourth Annual Benefit Dinner Dance Benefit themed "Northern Lights Jazzy Nights" in 2026 at the West Springfield VFW Party Hall! Doors open at 5 PM for entry and to purchase tickets if you haven't already pre-purchased, plus you'll have the opportunity to begin purchasing Raffle Tickets! Admission for adults is $25 and $10 for children 2-18 years of age, and children under 2 are free. Ticket gains you access to a complete sit down dinner catered by Valenza Restaurant, our Jazz Trivia Contest, chances to purchase Raffle Tickets, and a family friendly night of Live Musical Entertainment and dancing! Early Bird tickets can be purchased through an Elk Creek Township Historical Society Member or via PayPal. You are also welcome to chase off the winter blues by dressing in your favorite 1920's Era or Jazz themed Costume!
All admissions will be receive a free chance on a Door Prize: Adult tickets will be entered to win a Little Church themed prize, and Child tickets will be entered to win a kid-friendly prize.
We will be selling Quarterly Raffle Tickets and 50/50 Tickets for $1 each or 6/$5, and Ticket Sheets for our wide array of fabulous Raffle Baskets for $5 for a sheet.
Prizes will be awarded for Best Jazzy costume, Appreciation Prize for the first ticket purchased, and prize for the Largest Group/table.
Entertainment Schedule for the night will include a blend of Jazz mixed in with our classic favorites:
6-6:30: Dakota Hodge
6:45-7:30: Amber "Cookie" Cooke
7:45-8:30: Northwestern Jazz Band Ensemble
8:45-9:30: Jay B.
Trivia Contest will be ongoing through the evening with winners announced during the final break. Raffles will be pulled beginning at the 8:30 PM break (need not be present to win.) Last call for ticket sales and Trivia entries is 8:00 PM.
Dinner will be served at 6:30 PM, and includes lightly seasoned Cajun Chicken & Sausage Pasta, Salad, and Dinner Loaf Courtesy of Valenza Restaurant, along with Donated Light Appetizers, Dessert and Choice of Coffee, Water, Tea, or Punch Courtesy of the Elk Creek Township Historical Society. All other drinks are available for purchase at the VFW Bar.
Donations for this event of Raffle Baskets, Gift Cards, Supplies, or Monetary Donations to fray our costs are also welcome and always appreciated!
Thank you to all our Benefit Supporters whether it be through attendance, donation, spreading the word, or volunteering. All proceeds continue to go to the ongoing maintenance, preservation, and restoration of The Little Church on the Hill by The Elk Creek Township Historical Society.
